Music everyday for energy and inspiration! Music from all genres including Journey, Shinedown, Staind, Halestorm, REO Speedwagon, The Greatest Showman, Script, Linkin Park or whatever inspires me today!
While the Limp Bizkit version is excellent, it's the refrain that makes this version stand out to me. An awesome sound that tells a story. Not really the most inspirational song, but still a favorite that somehow I still find inspiring when I hear it. Just a really cool song.
This song by Islander tells the story of a changed and redeemed Dracula. The singer is the mummy. Dracula has bitten into a coconut and tasted sweetness and truth. The premise is bizarre but it works. Dracula sets aside his evil and blood lust and only wants what's beautiful. Anyone can make themselves over, anyone can become someone new. That's what this song is about, the power to change rests inside you.
Nationalism and Patriotism are two different things. You can be a patriot and question your country. This anti-war protest song also reminds us that there is nothing special about being born in a place, or being born into a life you never earned. There is no difference between the poor man fighting to survive and the rich CEO except lucky circumstance. We are all born human, no one is better then you based on geography or family, remember that always.
I have always loved this song. It's important and it speaks the truth. There is no place for racism and there is no place for hate. One of the Black Eyed Peas very best songs. Simply an amazing amount of truth in this song. We are one world and if you never know truth then you never know love. Black Eyed Peas are amazing. This is one band I'd love to meet, I'd like to shake their hands for bringing this song to the world.
Taking a break from the serious side and dancing on the Dark Side. Star Wars has never been this strange. Real music, motivation and inspiration will be back tomorrow, and you can still see yesterday's song below. Today we Dance with Darth. Because every now and then you have to.
Everyone on the planet knows this song. Featured in everything from Family Guy to the Sopranos this is the inspirational rock song for the ages (and was in the very fun musical Rock of Ages). This song gets everyone up and singing. I have been lucky enough to see Journey in concert three times, but only once with the incomparable Steve Perry. In fact when I fist saw Journey I didn't like rock music and was forced to go to their concert (1982 Joe Louis Arena - Detroit Michigan). Wheel in the Sky got my attention and on't Stop Believing got me hooked.

This was right before music videos started coming out, in fact I saw the first broadcast of MTV this same summer, so here is a concert video of them Live in Houston.
And the new guy Arnel Pinada. He's awesome too. Discovered on you Tube (Talk about Don't Stop Believing)
I love Imagine Dragons. Tons of inspiration and motivation. This one lets you know it's okay to go your own way and to do your own thing. I try to remember this when dealing with my kids, and I know my wife has to remember this when dealing with me (She is my biggest supporter). I love this song. I love the fact that those who put him down end up seeing his rise to fame. Don't let your detractors stop you ever.
This is the third day of inspirational ladies. This time it's hard rocker LZZY Hale and Halestorm. I Am The Fire tells us not to wait for someone else. We can do it ourselves. "I am the one I've been waiting for." Important words for anyone. You are all you need and if you try hard enough and work hard enough you will succeed. LZZY is one of the most inspirational ladies in rock and this song is why.

Bonus: Dear Daughter. These are the words every daughter, every little girl should hear. Just like her mamma your daughter can do anything, and you will always be there to love her, guide her, and pick her up when she falls down.
She's a pop icon and I'm not big into pop but this song is great. Everyone needs to be able to find the lion inside them self and let it roar. This song sits on a deeper level then most pop music and it is truly a message worth listening to. You are a champion and there are times you just have to let go and ROAR! (The video is just awesomely corny though)
I was looking for David Bowie's song Heroes and came across this and was truly in awe listening to it. Alesso is a Swedish DJ, but she can obviously truly sing. We can all be heroes of our own story. That is what is song says to me. A really cool accidental find that I will listen to again and again.
This song was recently made famous again by the movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. It's an amazing upbeat happy tune that inspires me to dance. Sometimes I dance like Groot, but just in front of my daughter. It's a happy joyful song and one for the ages. There is a reason classic songs stand the test of time. Songs like Mr. Blue Sky by the Electric Light Orchestra with it's happy hard to ignore sunny disposition are a great example. Then when you think it's over the instrumental hits, awesome music for the ages.
I feel so inspired when I hear this song play. Someone has to stand up for the downtrodden, or as they put it, the beaten, the broken and the damned. Someone has to be their hero and lead the Black Parade. This song would be a wonderful rallying cry for a leader if there is one who truly believes in the people and wants to make the world a much better place for us all.
It's not just the music that makes this cover of Imagine Dragon's song Radioactive awesome. This video has awesome visuals. Even though Pentatonix and Lindsey Sterling have set this this in a post apocalyptic wasteland it's still a hopeful place. The Imagine Dragons original is amazing as is this cover, and the only instrument is Lindsey's violin. One of my favorite videos of all time.
This band has produced literally tons of great inspirational songs. Seeing them in concert is like a full body massage for the soul. From the very start this band has been all about pushing you forward with their music... this song, Get Up keeps that trend going strong. This won't be the only Shinedown Music that makes it on this blog.
Anything is possible with hard work and perseverance. This song by the Script and Will I AM will make you believe you can do it, and it's absolutely true. You can make it to the Hall Of Fame. It is never too late to chase your dreams in this life. Get up and go for it! 100%
Awesome song from an awesomely inspiring show. Every time I hear this song I want to get up and go do something. Hugh Jackman is awesome in this musical as PT Barnham. This music gets me excited and happy in a way few other songs do, every single time I hear it.
This is simply an awesome song that serves to remind us not to let the weight of the world get to us. It's a heavy theme and it was possibly a cry for help. If you need help, let someone know, otherwise use this as inspiration not to let the weight of the world get to you.
